Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast hot and extremely hot weather in the deserts and coastal plains, with rainfall of varying intensity in the mountainous governorates over the next 24 hours.
In its weather bulletin today, received by the Yemeni News Agency (Saba), the center stated that the weather in the deserts and coastal plains will be hot to extremely hot and dry, with maximum temperatures ranging between 38 and 43 degrees Celsius.
It indicated that the weather along the coasts will be hot and humid, with maximum temperatures ranging between 34 and 37 degrees Celsius. It noted that rainfall of varying intensity, sometimes accompanied by thunder, will fall in the governorates of Saada, Amran, Hajjah, Mahwit, Sana'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Ibb, Taiz, and Dhale'a.
The National Center of Meteorology warned citizens in desert and coastal areas of extremely hot conditions, advising them to avoid direct sunlight during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids. It also warned citizens in areas where heavy rainfall is expected to avoid entering or crossing floodwaters during and after rainfall and to take shelter from thunderstorms.
