The head of the Customs Authority, Engineer Adel Margham, appointed a committee to facilitate customs procedures for trucks carrying traders and importers on the Aden-Dhalea-Sana'a line.
Engineer Margham, head of the Authority, stated in a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) that the committee was assigned in implementation of the directives of First Deputy Prime Minister Mohammed Miftah.
He explained that a mobile customs unit equipped with the latest equipment and systems has been dispatched to facilitate and simplify procedures initially until the completion and inauguration of a customs center, in cooperation with relevant authorities.
The committee head, along with the Deputy Governor of Dhalea and the Director of the Customs and Control Office of Dhamar, reviewed the progress of work and the facilitation of truck traffic. They also studied the requirements for establishing a new customs center in Damt District in Dhalea Governorate, and arranged the location and site of the customs compound.
The committee is working in coordination with official authorities to complete the necessary procedures to ensure the facilitation and simplification of procedures for the movement of goods and commercial trucks and the provision of customs services to citizens.
