Tulkarm – Saba:
Israeli enemy forces continued on Thursday their demolition of Palestinian homes in Nour Shams camp, east of Tulkarm city.
The official Palestinian News Agency reported that enemy bulldozers, under heavy infantry guard, continued to demolish homes and their surroundings in the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque area in the center of the camp, as part of a plan to demolish 106 residential buildings, including 48 in Nour Shams camp.
It was reported that the enemy forces fired live ammunition at citizens and press crews while they were in the wooded area opposite the camp, where they were observing the demolition of homes, to force them to leave the area. This spread fear and terror among them, but no injuries were reported.
In a later development, enemy soldiers raided the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque, climbed onto its roof, and raised the Israeli flag on its minaret.
Israeli enemy forces prevented residents of Tulkarm camp from entering their homes to retrieve their belongings from their homes threatened with demolition, despite having obtained prior coordination through identity checks and interrogations. They prevented a number of residents from entering and fired live ammunition indiscriminately to intimidate them. The attack also targeted Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) crews in Tulkarm.
PRS Director Manal al-Hafi said that the Israeli enemy army targeted the Red Crescent crews by directly firing at the organization's administrative vehicle, with its driver inside, as they were heading to assist residents of Tulkarm camp whose homes were threatened with demolition. Volunteer coordinator Amr Al-Tayyah was also attacked while performing his work inside the camp.
This comes after the Israeli army notified residents of 58 buildings in the camp of immediate demolition orders, paving the way for their evacuation on Thursday. These buildings, which contain more than 250 homes, contain only four entrances and exits, giving them only three hours to enter and exit the homes threatened with demolition. These include the entrances to Balawneh, Madaris, Hanoun Square, and Muqata'a neighborhoods.
Tulkarm witnessed intense activity by Israeli enemy army vehicles and infantry units, patrolling the main streets and neighborhoods, honking their horns in a provocative manner, driving against traffic, and setting up surprise checkpoints, particularly in the center of the market and around the Thabet Thabet Governmental Hospital. Citizens and vehicles were stopped, searched, interrogated, and abused.
