Sarajevo - Saba:
The independent international initiative, Gaza Tribunal, concluded its sessions in Sarajevo, the capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, with a strong condemnation of genocide, settler colonialism, racial discrimination, and ethnic cleansing committed by the Israeli occupation against the Palestinian people.
In its final statement, following sessions that began on May 26, the tribunal emphasized:
- The Palestinian people’s right to resist by all means, including armed struggle, as affirmed by the United Nations.
- A firm condemnation of Israel’s policies, such as denying the right of return, forced displacement, collective punishment, arbitrary detention and torture, and the systematic destruction of infrastructure in Gaza and the West Bank.
- Denouncing international complicity, especially from certain Western governments and media outlets that justify or conceal the crimes against Palestinians.
- A call for the immediate withdrawal of Israeli forces from Gaza, Syria, and Lebanon, an end to military operations, and the unconditional release of all Palestinian detainees.
- Solidarity with the Palestinian people, affirming a continued legal and civil struggle to hold perpetrators accountable and build a more just international system.
The tribunal also praised the Palestinian people’s resilience and urged people worldwide to take immediate action to end the genocide and bring justice.
