The Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory, Francesca Albani, said on Friday that "the international community must stop Israel's deliberate and persistent use of humanitarian mechanisms to conceal and facilitate the commission of horrific crimes in the Gaza Strip."
She added, "We continue to witness a brutal humanitarian camouflage that has led to grave atrocities, Israel feigns humanitarian solutions to maintain its control over Gaza and systematically deprive the starving population of life-saving humanitarian aid in the besieged Strip."
