Occupied Al Quds – SABA:
The Israeli occupation court in Haifa has decided to extend the detention of activist Sanaa Salameh, the wife of martyr Walid Daqqa, until next Tuesday.
The Palestinian Prisoners’ Club described the decision as a new chapter in the ongoing systematic retaliation and organized terrorism practiced by the occupation against the martyr Walid Daqqa and his family.
The club added that the court’s decision was not surprising, especially in light of the ongoing incitement campaign against activist Daqqa, the latest of which included a call by the extremist minister Ben Gvir to deport her and revoke her citizenship.
It noted that the occupation continues to escalate its targeting of the families of thousands of prisoners and martyrs through policies of restriction, persecution, intimidation, and threats—including systematic arrests affecting the majority of those families—under the pretext of so-called “incitement,” which has become a central tool for imposing further control, surveillance, and repression.
It is worth noting that Sanaa Salameh is the wife of the martyr of the Palestinian prisoner movement, Walid Daqqa, who passed away in April of last year after spending 38 years in Israeli prisons. During his imprisonment, the occupation subjected him to all forms of torture, deprivation, and abuse. Even after his death, they continue to withhold his body in their morgues.
