Tehran - Saba:
Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Esmail Baghaei affirmed that Iran will not abandon nuclear enrichment under any circumstances, noting that it will not tolerate any form of intimidation or pressure.
In response to a question about President Trump's optimism regarding the nuclear negotiations between his administration and Iran, Baghaei emphasized during an interview with CNN yesterday at the Iranian Foreign Ministry, "If the American side's goal is to ensure that Iran's nuclear program is not used for military purposes, then this is a given, because Iran has never sought the military use of nuclear energy."
The Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman added, "However, if the goal is to deprive Iran of its inalienable right, I believe this will create a major problem, to the point that it will challenge the entire process."
Regarding whether the Trump administration and its negotiator, Witkoff, are aware of this, Baghaei said, "The fact that we have continued our talks so far means that we know there is a certain level of understanding that Iran, under no circumstances, can give up its right to peaceful nuclear energy, including enrichment."
Regarding a compromise on this issue, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that desire is ability, as there is no single way, but rather multiple ways to achieve it. As for Iran, it knows that its nuclear program is entirely peaceful, and it is committed to ensuring that it remains peaceful.
Regarding President Trump's implicit consideration of Zionist-American military action against Iran as an alternative to the agreement, Baghaei considered these threats to be unhelpful, stressing that the Iranians will not surrender to any kind of pressure.
He added that the Iranians have proven numerous times over the past century and beyond that they will not tolerate any form of intimidation or pressure, a matter unanimously agreed upon by the Iranian people, who will certainly not compromise their national security and will defend it.
