Geneva - Saba:
Jens Laerke, a spokesman for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, said that the work of the Gaza Relief Foundation, supported by Israel and the United States, is merely a distraction, and that what is needed is to open the Gaza Strip crossings.

Laerke said in a press statement in Geneva, "We do not participate in this approach for the reasons we mentioned. It is a distraction from what is truly needed."
