Gaza - Saba:
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) announced on Sunday that two of its staff members were killed on Saturday in a strike on their house in the Khan Younis area, southern Gaza Strip.
In a post on its official account on the platform "X," the organization stated: "We are shocked by the deaths of our dear colleagues, Ibrahim Eid and Ahmed Abu Hilal. Today, we reiterate our urgent call for the protection and respect of civilians in Gaza."
The ICRC extended its condolences to the families, friends, and colleagues of the deceased, affirming that "their loss leaves a deep sorrow in our hearts."
It added that "the killing of its staff adds to the enormous and unacceptable number of civilians killed in Gaza."
The committee called for "a resumption of the ceasefire and the protection of civilians, including medical personnel, humanitarian relief workers, and civil defense personnel."
The enemy army, with full support from the United States, continues to commit genocidal crimes in Gaza, resulting in the deaths of 53,939 and injuries to 122,797 since October 7, 2023.
