Gaza – Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza condemned the horrific massacre committed by the Israeli enemy army on Saturday, which killed nine children from the "Najjar" family in Khan Younis, southern Gaza Strip, stating that it confirms killing has become a hobby and a means of enjoyment for an army that takes pleasure in slaughtering innocent children.
In a statement, the office said: "In yet another crime added to the enemy’s long record of murder, terrorism, and genocide, the enemy army committed a brutal and horrific massacre against a peaceful Palestinian family by bombing the Najjar family’s house in Qizan al-Najjar area of Khan Younis (southern Gaza Strip) without any reason or justification—except that killing has become a hobby for them, a way to enjoy shedding the blood of innocent children."
It added: "This savage airstrike led to the martyrdom of nine siblings from one family. Seven of them have been recovered so far, while two remain under the rubble—a scene that encapsulates the genocide our Palestinian people have endured in the Gaza Strip for over seven months."
The office clarified that the ages of the martyred children from Najjar family ranged from under one year to 12 years old. Their father, Dr. Hamdi Yahya Najjar, and his son Adam were also injured in the same attack and are currently in critical condition, receiving treatment in the intensive care unit at Nasser Hospital.
It noted that "the children’s mother, Dr. Alaa Najjar, was on duty at Nasser Hospital when the massacre occurred, fulfilling her humanitarian duty to save patients’ lives—before receiving the devastating news that all nine of her children had been martyred at once."
The office continued: "We affirm that this horrific massacre is undeniable evidence of the genocidal crimes committed by the Israeli enemy against our Palestinian people. It is a full-fledged war crime under all international laws and conventions, exposing once again the criminal mentality of the occupation in its dealings with Palestinian civilians, especially children, who have become direct targets for its warplanes and missiles."
The office held the Israeli enemy and the countries complicit in the genocide fully responsible for these massacres and crimes against humanity, stressing that the silence of the international community makes it a partner in the crime and grants the enemy a green light to continue killing and ethnic cleansing.
It called on the international community, human rights organizations, and international courts to take immediate and urgent action to hold this brutal criminal enemy accountable for its crimes, provide real international protection for the Palestinian people, and stop the ongoing massacres against innocent civilians in Gaza Strip.
