New York - SABA:
UN Secretary-General António Guterres has warned of the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza, stressing that the Israeli occupation has clear obligations under international law to treat civilians humanely and with dignity.
In a statement, Guterres emphasized:
- "Without aid entering Gaza, many will perish"
- Called for streamlined inspection procedures at crossings
- Urged effective distribution of aid to Gaza's population
80% of Gaza now classified either as:
a) Israeli military zones
b) Areas under evacuation orders
