Egypt's Pyramids FC will face South Africa's Sundowns FC tomorrow, Saturday, in the first leg of the CAF Champions League final.
Pyramids FC is looking to win the title for the first time in its history, while Sundowns FC is seeking its second continental title.
Pyramids FC reached the final for the first time in its history after defeating South Africa's Orlando Pirates FC in the semi-finals, 3-2 on aggregate.
Sundowns FC, on the other hand, advanced to the final at the expense of defending champions Al Ahly FC, after a 1-1 draw in Cairo in the second leg, following the first leg's goalless draw.
Pyramids FC is the fifth Egyptian team to reach the final, following Ismaily SC, Ghazl El Mahalla SC, Al Ahly SC, and Zamalek SC. Egyptian clubs have won the title 18 times.
The Egyptian capital, Cairo, is scheduled to host the second leg on June 1.
The Confederation of African Football (CAF) recently unveiled a new design for the tournament trophy, which will be awarded to the winning team of the current edition.
It's worth noting that Al Ahly of Egypt has won the CAF Champions League the most times, with 12 titles, followed by compatriots Zamalek and TP Mazembe of the Democratic Republic of Congo, each with five titles.
