Rabat – SABA:
Thousands of Moroccans took part today, Friday, in solidarity rallies with the Gaza Strip, during which they declared their rejection of the displacement and starvation of Palestinians. This marks the 77th consecutive week of such demonstrations.
The rallies, organized by the Moroccan Commission for the Support of the Ummah’s Causes, were held under the slogan:
“No to northern displacement, no to Gaza starvation, no to normalization” — and took place after Friday prayers in several Moroccan cities including Berrechid, Casablanca, Inezgane, Oujda, Jerada, Berkane, Tangier, Tetouan, and Chefchaouen.
Participants raised Palestinian flags, images of the Dome of the Rock, and photos showing destruction in Gaza and other Palestinian areas.
Protesters chanted slogans supporting Palestinian resistance factions and rejecting normalization with the Israeli enemy.
Among the slogans were:
- “The people want to liberate Palestine”
- “From Morocco to Palestine, one people not two”
- “The people want to bring down normalization”
