Berlin - (Saba):
German Vice Chancellor and Finance Minister Lars Klingbeil called for increased political pressure on Israel over its blocking of humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
In a press statement on Friday, Klingbeil emphasized the need to protect civilians and ensure the unhindered delivery of aid. He warned against Israel's plans to forcibly displace Gazans, describing these actions as a clear violation of international law.
The German official, who also serves as co-chair of the Social Democratic Party, pointed to the great suffering endured by the people of Gaza, especially children, amid the increasing civilian casualties resulting from Israeli military attacks.
