Sana'a - Saba:
Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Jamal Amer sent a message to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty, addressing the conditions of the Yemeni community and prospects for strategic cooperation between the two countries.

Minister Amer conveyed his sincerest greetings on behalf of the Government of Change and Construction to the government of the Arab Republic of Egypt, expressing appreciation for Egypt’s pivotal role under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi on both regional and international stages.

He highly valued Egypt’s generous hosting of a large number of Yemeni citizens, particularly given the current circumstances Yemen is undergoing.

The message touched on some difficulties faced by Yemeni citizens arriving in Egypt, especially patients, expressing concern over reports that some Yemenis have been detained on charges related to foreign currency dealings despite following official procedures. It also highlighted troubling reports of visitors falling victim to fraud and scams.

Minister Amer commended the stance of the Egyptian Interior Minister, who ordered investigations into these complaints, expressing hope for lasting solutions to these issues in line with the special relationship between the two brotherly nations.

The message urged Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and Migration to exert efforts with the relevant Egyptian authorities to address these problems.

In his letter, the Foreign Minister emphasized the Yemeni government’s sincere desire and full readiness to launch a comprehensive and constructive strategic dialogue with the Egyptian government to discuss all aspects of mutual interests and ways to enhance them across political, economic, security, and cultural fields. This includes consultation and coordination on regional issues of common concern, foremost among them ensuring the security of the region, the Palestinian cause, and affirming that protecting the Red Sea is the responsibility of its coastal states.

He further stressed that such dialogue would help unify visions, align positions, and address shared challenges to achieve security, stability, and prosperity for the peoples of the region.
