The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that the crews of Russian Su-25 attack aircraft destroyed armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of operations of the Russian Eastern Group.

Sputnik quoted the ministry as saying in a statement: "The crews of Su-25 attack aircraft destroyed armored vehicles of the Ukrainian Armed Forces in the area of responsibility of the Russian Eastern Group."

The statement explained that missiles were fired from the aircraft in pairs, from low altitudes.

The statement concluded, quoting the pilot of one of the aircraft: "An urgent mission was set. We checked the aircraft. The engineering team checked everything, and then we took off to strike the target. We hit it accurately."
