Brussels - Saba:
Britain, France, and Canada announced on Monday that they will take measures if Israel does not halt its attack on Gaza. They called on Israel to halt its military operations in the Strip and immediately allow aid into the Strip.
In a joint statement, the three countries said that Israel's announcement that it would allow a small amount of food into Gaza is entirely insufficient.
They added that Israel's refusal to provide essential aid to civilians in Gaza is "unacceptable," continuing: "We will not stand idly by while the Netanyahu government continues its outrageous actions."
They condemned the hateful language of some members of the Israeli government and the threat of forced displacement, stressing that forced displacement is a violation of international humanitarian law.
They expressed their support for the efforts made by Washington, Qatar, and Egypt to achieve a ceasefire in Gaza. The enemy forces renewed their aggression against the Gaza Strip at dawn on March 18, 2025, with airstrikes across the Gaza Strip, killing more than 3,193 civilians and wounding 8,993 others.
This reversal of the ceasefire agreement with Hamas and the resistance factions, which had been brokered by the United States, Egypt, and Qatar for approximately 60 days, has been in effect. With American support, the enemy army has been committing genocide in Gaza since October 7, 2023, leaving more than 172,000 dead and wounded, most of them children and women, and more than 14,000 missing.
