Gaza - Saba:
Palestinian Ministry of Health spokesman Khalil al-Daqran on Monday confirmed that the northern Gaza Strip is now without hospitals or health services following the targeting of the Indonesian Hospital in Beit Lahia and the destruction of its generators.
The Ministry of Health announced in a statement on Monday evening that the Indonesian Hospital had been completely cut off from power after the enemy targeted the generators.
The ministry stated that targeting the generators would mean the hospital would cease operations completely, warning of catastrophic scenarios if the targeting of health facilities continued.
Al-Daqran stated that of the 16 government hospitals in the Gaza Strip, only five remain, operating partially and facing a severe shortage of medical supplies, medicines, and equipment.
He explained that the remaining hospitals are: Kamal Adwan Hospital in northern Gaza, which has been transformed into a simple field hospital, unable to handle critical injuries.
Al-Shifa Hospital is also partially operating after several of its departments were targeted. Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in the central region and Nasser Hospital in Khan Younis are also operating under extremely difficult conditions and with limited resources, according to al-Daqran.
The Indonesian Hospital was completely out of service after the enemy intensified its siege, preventing the arrival of patients, medical staff, and supplies, while simultaneously providing heavy fire cover.
The enemy continues to directly target medical facilities, storming hospitals, and arresting staff and patients, in flagrant violation of all international laws.
