Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast hot weather in the deserts, coasts, and coastal plains, with scattered rain showers expected in parts of several governorates over the next 24 hours.
The center stated in its weather bulletin that hot and dry weather is expected in the deserts and coastal plains, with maximum temperatures ranging between 37 and 43 degrees Celsius.
While the weather will be hot and humid along the coasts, with maximum temperatures ranging between 36 and 39 degrees Celsius and relative humidity between 75 and 85%.
Scattered rain showers, sometimes accompanied by thunder, are likely in parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, Hajjah, Saada, Socotra, Dhale'e, the highlands of Lahij and Abyan, and western Sana'a and Amran.
The center reported the amount of rainfall that fell over the past 24 hours, as measured at meteorological stations in Al-Ma'afer: Taiz: 3.8 mm, Ibb: 2.6 mm.
It warned citizens in deserts, plains, and coastal areas of the hot weather and advised them to avoid direct sun exposure during the afternoon and to drink plenty of fluids.
It also warned against staying in or crossing flood channels and valleys during and after rainfall, urging them to take shelter from thunderstorms.
