The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor has confirmed that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's statement that Israel enemy will continue to destroy homes in Gaza until Palestinians have no shelter and no choice but to leave is another official admission from the highest political authority that he is actually implementing a plan to uproot an entire community through the systematic destruction of its foundations of survival.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor said in a statement on Sunday that Netanyahu's statement legally, politically, and morally undermines any narrative claiming that the attacks target Hamas or "fighters." The stated target is Palestinian civilians themselves.
It noted that Netanyahu's admission is a contemporary version of ethnic cleansing being carried out in full view of the world. Either the Palestinian is killed or uprooted. More dangerously, however, he believes that the obstacle is not international law, but the logistics of receiving them in other countries.
The human rights observatory noted that the map of the crime is clear: "home demolitions, blockade of crossings, terrorizing and starving, and then imposing exile as the only option." It emphasized that this is not "security," but rather full-fledged forced displacement, used as a tool in a genocide that has been ongoing for 19 months.
The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor noted that the path to justice is clear: "economic sanctions, a comprehensive arms embargo, the prosecution of all those responsible, and ensuring safe return, comprehensive reconstruction, and compensation for victims in Gaza." Anything less is a declared mandate for a new Nakba.
