The Belgian capital, Brussels, witnessed a mass demonstration on Sunday, attended by more than 80,000 people from Palestinian and Arab communities, activists, and supporters of the Palestinian people, denouncing the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
The demonstration toured the main streets of Brussels and reached the European Union headquarters, where Palestinian flags and banners were raised condemning the crimes of the Israeli occupation and demanding an immediate end to the bombing and lifting of the siege on Gaza.
Participants chanted slogans condemning the Israeli aggression, denouncing the silence of the international community, and demanding that European governments take a firmer stance against the crimes committed against Palestinian civilians, especially women and children.
The demonstration was organized at the invitation of human rights organizations and associations supporting the Palestinian cause, and included the participation of activists of various nationalities, including Belgians, Arabs, and Europeans.
The demonstration witnessed a significant turnout from Arab and Islamic communities residing in Brussels.
The organizers emphasized that this demonstration is part of a series of ongoing actions aimed at pressuring European decision-makers to end their political and military support for the Israeli occupation and to hold accountable those who commit grave violations in Gaza.
The demonstration coincided with growing international calls for a ceasefire, amid warnings of an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in the besieged Strip.
