Beirut - (Saba):
The Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) asserted that the British Labour government, led by Prime Minister Keir Starmer and Foreign Secretary David Lammy, is directly complicit in the crimes of genocide committed by the Zionist enemy in the Gaza Strip by continuing to export weapons and military equipment until March 2025, despite the apparent announcement of a partial suspension.
In a statement posted on its Telegram channel, the PFLP said: “International human rights reports supported by official documents expose the falsity of the government’s claims and prove its continued export of ammunition and weapons, with more than 8,630 shipments since the start of the aggression on Gaza.”
It added: “This behavior constitutes a systematic misleading of British public opinion and Parliament, and makes the British government a direct partner in the war crimes and genocide committed against the Palestinian people.”
She added: "The secret meeting between the British Foreign Secretary and his counterpart in the Zionist enemy government, revealed by the Middle East Eye website, comes in the context of complicity and cover-up of British participation in these crimes, and reflects the extent of the lack of transparency and political evasion of the Labour government."
The Front praised "the courageous stance of the forty members of Parliament in the British Parliament who demanded that Foreign Secretary David Lammy respond to the continued arms exports, expose the government's deception, and call for a serious investigation into the continued granting of licenses and the cessation of all forms of military support to the enemy state."
It stated that "Europe, with its governments and military companies, is an effective partner in the war crimes and genocide being committed against our people in the Gaza Strip, especially after the shocking statement by the former EU foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, who acknowledged that half of the bombs dropped by the Zionist enemy on Gaza originate in European countries."
While the Popular Front held "European governments, especially the British government and European Union leaders, legally and morally responsible for their direct support for the aggression," it called on "the peoples of Europe, and their political, trade union, and student forces, to rise up to stop the war and hold accountable those responsible for exporting the tools of death to the enemy."
