The Russian Defense Ministry announced on Wednesday that its forces had liberated the town of Lyubovoye in Donetsk, while its air defenses downed 524 Ukrainian drones—the highest daily tally since the start of the special military operation.
In its daily report, the Russian Defense stated that formations of the "West" group of forces, which liberated Lyubovoye, inflicted enemy losses of approximately 230 personnel in its area of responsibility in Kharkiv and Donetsk. Meanwhile, the Ukrainian army’s total daily losses across various fronts reached about 1,580 soldiers.
Below are the key points from the Russian Defense Ministry’s report:
- Ukraine lost around 255 personnel in the operational zone of the "North" group in Kharkiv and Sumy regions, over 320 soldiers in the "South" group’s area in Donetsk, more than 490 soldiers in the "Center" group’s sector, about 225 soldiers in the "East" group’s zone in Donetsk and Zaporizhzhia, and 60 soldiers in the "Dnieper" group’s area in Zaporizhzhia and Kherson.
- Strikes targeted drone launch sites, military airport infrastructure facilities, warehouses storing drone boats and ammunition, as well as temporary deployment points of Ukrainian army forces and foreign mercenaries across 149 locations.
- Destruction of five long-range "Neptune" guided missiles, six JDAM guided aerial bombs, two HIMARS rocket projectiles, and 524 enemy drones.
