Pakistan's Ambassador to Moscow, Mohammad Khalid Jamali, stated on Saturday that his country seeks the participation of neutral nations like Russia and China in the investigation of the terrorist attack that took place in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir.
In an interview with Russia's "TASS" news agency, the Pakistani ambassador said, "Russia and China could participate in this investigation. If the goal is to assist and resolve the issue, some neutral partners could join in conducting a transparent probe, and we welcome that."
According to the ambassador, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has already proposed an initiative for a transparent investigation into the incident. He emphasized that "our prime minister’s proposal is very sincere and genuine."
Earlier, Rana Sanaullah Khan, the Pakistani Prime Minister’s Advisor on Political Affairs, stated that Pakistan is ready to join an India-led investigation into the Kashmir attack to uncover the facts and prevent further escalation between the two countries.
The terrorist attack occurred near Pahalgam in the Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir on April 22, resulting in the deaths of 26 Indian tourists and one Nepalese citizen.
