Gaza - Saba:
The Government Media Office in Gaza stated that the Israeli occupation is using starvation and thirst as a systematic weapon of war aimed at extinguishing life in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement issued Monday evening, the office warned of a sharp rise in cases of acute malnutrition, especially among children and infants, amid the ongoing Israeli genocide and the continued closure of crossings and blockade of humanitarian aid.
It revealed that 65,000 medical cases of acute malnutrition have been recorded in the remaining hospitals and medical centers, out of a total of 1.1 million children in Gaza who suffer from daily hunger.
The media office held the Israeli occupation fully responsible for the escalating humanitarian catastrophe and for putting the lives of hundreds of thousands of children, women, and the elderly at extreme risk due to the lack of food, medicine, and water.
It also held the international community and its institutions accountable for their silence in the face of these crimes and their failure to take decisive action to hold Israeli leaders accountable for their ongoing and brutal violations.
The office renewed its call for the immediate and unconditional opening of all Gaza border crossings.
It demanded the entry of humanitarian aid, nutritional and medical supplements, and medicine, especially for children and the sick, to save lives and halt the catastrophic humanitarian collapse.
The statement urged the international community to act to prosecute Israeli war criminals in international courts, holding them accountable for their crimes, particularly the use of starvation and thirst as a tool of genocide against the Palestinian people and their children.
