Germany's Zverev wins Munich Tennis Championships
[Sun, 20 Apr 2025 21:38:41 +0300]

Berlin - Saba:
Alexander Zverev of Germany won the title of the 500-point Munich Tennis Championship, after defeating Ben Shelton of the United States in two sets (6-2, 6-4), in their match on Sunday in the final of the tournament.

This is Zverev's second win over Ben Shelton in their two matches so far after his first victory in the quarterfinals of the Cincinnati Masters 1,000-point tournament last year.

Shelton, on the other hand, lost his second career final after Basel last year and failed to win the third title of his career after Tokyo in 2023 and Houston in 2024.

Zverev has won the Munich tournament twice before, in 2017 and 2018, when it was a 250-point tournament.
