Oil prices jumped (7) percent at settlement on Friday.
Brent crude futures prices reached $4.87, or (7.02) percent, to $74.23 per barrel, after jumping more than (13) percent to a session high of $78.5 per barrel, the highest since January 27.
US West Texas Intermediate crude rose $4.94, or (7.62) percent, to $72.98, and jumped more than (14) percent during the session to its highest level since January 21 at $77.62.
Friday's gains were the largest daily moves.
