Hundreds of women gathered in Hodeida on Friday for a massive vigil organized by the Women's Committee in the province, under the slogan “We Remain Steadfast with Gaza in the Face of US-Israeli Escalation.” The event was part of a broader grassroots movement in Yemen supporting the Palestinian cause amid the ongoing aggression in Gaza.
Participants held banners and chanted slogans declaring their solidarity with the Palestinian resistance and denouncing what they described as the silence of the international community towards Israeli and American aggression. The vigil emphasized that Yemeni women see themselves as active participants in the struggle, both ideologically and socially.
Speakers at the vigil praised the resilience of Palestinian women and underscored the shared struggle between women in Gaza and Yemen. They highlighted the role of Yemeni women in raising awareness, fostering resistance culture, and mobilizing communities in support of liberation efforts.
