Cairo-Saba:
A Hamas source revealed to the Associated Press that Egypt has presented a new proposal to attempt to renew the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
According to the proposal, Hamas will release five living prisoners, including soldier Idan Alexander, in exchange for the return of humanitarian aid, a seven-week ceasefire, and the release of hundreds of Palestinian prisoners.
The source added that Hamas responded positively to the offer.
Sources in Israel confirmed that there are positive indications regarding a new Egyptian proposal in the negotiations, but that the gaps remain large.
