Ramallah - Saba:
The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Prisoners' Club revealed on Sunday that the Israeli prison system has forced Palestinian lawyers to wear bracelets bearing the name of the prison, the flag of the occupying entity, and the word "visitor."
In a statement issued Sunday, the Commission and the Club said that this measure is part of a series of measures imposed by the prison system on legal teams since the beginning of the war.
These measures include preventing legal teams from visiting detainees at the beginning of the war, the prison administrations' intentional declaration of a state of emergency during visits, and bringing detainees to their lawyers while bound and blindfolded.
Since the beginning of the aggression on Gaza, legal teams have faced significant challenges in monitoring detainees.
This comes after a series of amendments imposed by the Israeli occupation on legal regulations and military orders related to extending detainee detentions and meeting with lawyers, and the continued imposition of the crime of enforced disappearance against hundreds of detainees in Gaza.
It's worth noting that the legal teams are the only space through which detainees can communicate with the outside world, after the prison system suspended visits from their families and the International Committee of the Red Cross.
