The Iranian News Agency reported on Friday that Foreign Ministry spokesman Ismail Baghaei announced that Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi will travel to the Sultanate of Oman on an official invitation to participate in the 8th meeting of Indian Ocean Rim countries. The meeting will be jointly hosted by Oman, India, and Singapore in Muscat early this week.
The 8th meeting of the Foreign Ministers of the Indian Ocean Rim countries is set to take place this week under the theme "Towards New Horizons for Maritime Partnership," with the participation of high-ranking officials from 20 member states.
In addition to attending and delivering a speech at the summit, Iran’s Foreign Minister will also hold bilateral meetings with his counterparts and other officials participating in the event.
