Tehran-Saba:

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi on Friday discussed with head of the Islamic Resistance Movement Hamas in the Gaza Strip, and head of the movement's negotiating delegation Khalil al-Hayya the political and field developments in Gaza, especially the ceasefire agreement and prisoner exchange.

Araqchi confirmed during a phone call that the Islamic Republic of Iran welcomes the agreement, and that it had previously announced its support and endorsement of any agreement reached by Hamas.

He added "We congratulate you on this victory and the occupation's submission to the ceasefire, which comes as a result of the steadfastness and perseverance of the Palestinian people and Hamas fighters during 15 months of the occupation's crimes."

Araqchi pointed out that "the occupation entered Gaza to eliminate Hamas, and today it is concluding an agreement with it to withdraw and exchange prisoners, which means the victory of Hamas and the Palestinian people over this occupation."

The Iranian Foreign Minister stressed the Islamic Republic's continued support for the Palestinian people until they achieve their full legitimate rights, saluting all the martyrs who rose in this battle, especially in Gaza and Lebanon.

In turn, al-Hayya extended the greetings of the Hamas movement and the Palestinian people to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and stressed that what was achieved today by stopping the aggression is the result of the steadfastness of our people and the bravery of the resistance of al-Qassam Brigades, al-Quds Brigades and all the factions, and thanks to all the support fronts, led by the Islamic Republic, recalling the True Promise 1 and 2 operations.

The head of Hamas in Gaza also recalled the martyrs who rose in this battle, led by the leaders, heads of the political bureau of the Hamas movement, Ismail Haniyeh and Yahya Sinwar, and the martyr Hassan Nasrallah, Secretary-General of Hezbollah.

Al-Hayya stressed that the Battle of the Flood of al-Aqsa is a clear warning and the beginning of the end of the Zionist occupation.
