The office of the General Authority for Zakat in Taiz Governorate launched today the distribution of grain zakat for the harvest season 1446 AH 2024 AD, under the slogan "And give its due on the day of its harvest."

At the launch, the Director General of the Zakat Authority Office in Taiz Governorate, Shawqi Maghlis, stressed the importance of farmers paying the grain zakat in kind at the time of harvest, which will be distributed to those entitled to it from the poor and needy in the villages and districts from which it was collected.

Maghlis urged preachers and guides to cooperate with the Zakat Authority in the awareness and guidance aspect and to remind citizens of the importance of taking the initiative and expediting the payment of zakat in its various types and seasons, considering this a religious duty on the one hand and on the other hand because it is linked to many good things and blessings that accrue to the deserving members of society.
