Baghdad-Saba:
Head of the Popular Mobilization Forces in Iraq Faleh al-Fayadh stressed on Friday the "necessity of preparing to confront the enemy's plans that may take different forms", calling for "preparation and learning lessons from what happened in neighboring countries, and what happened in Iraq in 2014".
In a speech he delivered at the headquarters of Anbar Operations Command, al-Fayadh stressed that Iraq is "preparing for any field possibilities", expressing "concern for the people of Iraq and their achievements, in light of the developments in Syria".
He pointed out that Iraq today is "not the Iraq of 2014", he stressed "not allowing any infringement on the land and sovereignty of Iraq".
He added: "We will spare no effort in deterring anyone who dares to infringe on the security of Iraq".
Al-Fayadh also confirmed that the armed forces, the army, the Popular Mobilization Forces, and the forces of the Ministry of Interior "made joint efforts to maintain border security", stressing "adherence to unity, and the necessity of being decisive in the face of those who want to tamper with Anbar Governorate and Iraq".
In the same context, the head of the Popular Mobilization Forces indicated that "Iraqi society is a strong society", and that the tribes are "the first incubator for building systems that are framed by the framework of the state".
He pointed out that "each one fights in his own field", explaining that "this constitutes a basic pillar in the security and stability of the country, in addition to awareness of the risks and danger of the parties lying in wait for us".
