HODEIDA - SABA :
An expanded meeting was held on Sunday in Zaidiya district in Hodeida Province, headed by Deputy Prime Minister and Administration Minister, Local and Rural Development Mohammed Al-Madani, for the northern square districts' leaders in the province.

The meeting comes within the framework of incentive visits and field follow-up on the performance level of the joint official and community campaign to eliminate mosquito breeding sources and control their larvae.

The meeting, which included Deputy Minister of Local Administration Nasser Al-Mihdhar, Ministry Undersecretaries Ammar Al-Harib and Ghaleb Hamza, and Tihama Development Authority Chairman Ali Hazza, reviewed the mechanisms to get rid of mosquitoes , their larvae , prevent malaria and fever.

During the meeting, the Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the importance of concerted efforts to ensure the success of the campaign in cooperation between the relevant authorities in order to eliminate the sources and causes of disease transmission and eliminate malaria vectors.

He discussed the working mechanisms of the campaign, which is implemented by the Ministry of Health and Environment in cooperation with the local authority, the Agricultural Cooperative Union, Bunyan Development Foundation, and representatives of public mobilization, with the participation of a number of concerned offices.

The meeting stressed the importance of filling swamps, which represents 80 percent of the measures to control mosquito vectors and their larvae, in addition to spraying the targeted sites, as well as promoting community awareness of the danger sources of disease transmission, such as ponds, unused tires, exposed pots , other places where water accumulates and stagnates.
