BAYDA - SABA: Today, the Afar Customs Center in Al-Bayda Governorate disposed of a quantity of oils and cosmetics following a rejection notice from the Standards, Metrology, and Quality Control Authority.
The center's director, Fahd Hazza, informed Saba that the compromised goods comprised some oil cans with unspecified dates, along with a variety of expired and defective cosmetics.
He emphasized that the destruction process was conducted according to the established procedures and in the presence of representatives from the concerned authorities, underscoring the strict enforcement against expired, smuggled, and unauthorized goods.
Hazza stressed that customs is the first line of defense in seizing and destroying expired and non-conforming goods.
