MOSCOW - (Saba): The Russian Defense Ministry on Sunday said that 13,100 Ukrainian military personnel have been eliminated and 110 tanks destroyed since the start of the Ukrainian offensive on Kursk on August 6.
The ministry said in a statement: The "North" forces continue to seize the Novo Ivanovka, Darino, Nikolaevo Darino, Pokrovskoye and Burki regions from Ukrainian forces.
In the past 24 hours, it repelled five hostile attacks on the towns and villages of Marievka, Lyubimovka, Obkhovka and Ruskaya Konabilka, 13,100 military personnel were eliminated, 110 tanks, hundreds of armored vehicles, cannons, rocket launchers, air defense systems, 26 electronic warfare stations and seven radar stations were destroyed.
Dmitry Medvedev, deputy head of Russia's Security Council, had earlier warned that Russia's patience not to launch a nuclear response against Western actions in Ukraine was running out.
Russia has so far exercised restraint in using its nuclear capabilities in response to Western intervention, especially with regard to precision strikes deep into Russian territory, but he warned that "even the greatest level of patience has limits."
