Ramallah - Saba:

The Zionist enemy intelligence issued on Thursday a six-month administrative detention order against Palestinian journalist Ali al-Samoudi, 58, from Jenin.

The Palestinian Prisoners' Affairs Commission and the Palestinian Prisoners' Club stated that al-Samoudi was subjected to abuse following his arrest on April 29. He was initially detained in a military barracks in Jenin, then transferred to the Jalameh detention center and later to Megiddo prison, where he is currently being held.

The Commission and the Club noted in a statement issued Thursday that "the arrest of Al-Samoudi and his transfer to administrative detention comes amid the enemy's continued escalation in targeting journalists through arrests, specifically through the systematic policy of administrative detention, which constitutes the most prominent crime that witnessed a historic transformation after the genocide, or through arrests based on what the occupation claims is (incitement).

The statement held the enemy responsible for the life and fate of journalist Al-Samoudi, who suffers from numerous health problems and previous injuries, especially with his continued detention in Megiddo Prison, which is a symbol of systematic medical crimes, along with many other systematic crimes that have been a central reason for the deaths of many prisoners and detainees.

It indicated that the number of journalists administratively detained in enemy prisons has risen to (20) journalists, who are among (50) journalists the enemy continues to detain since the beginning of the genocide crime. It noted that this data only includes those arrested after the genocide, noting that there are six journalists detained before the genocide.
