HODEIDA - SABA: The Red Sea coast of Hodeida came alive with vibrant marine celebrations marking the birth of the Prophet Muhammad on Saturday evening.
Hundreds of boats and vessels, adorned with green Muhammadan lights, illuminated the waters as they paraded along the coast.
This display was a vivid expression of joy and reverence for the Prophet’s birthday, known as the Muhammadan spring.
The scene was a spectacular showcase of devotion, with fishermen’s boats and other marine vessels decorated with banners bearing the name of the Prophet Muhammad.
The atmosphere reflected both official and popular enthusiasm, underscoring the Yemeni people's deep respect for this sacred occasion.
Hodeida first undersecretary Ahmed al-Bishri emphasized that these marine light shows were intended to honor the Prophet’s birth with the dignity and reverence it deserves.
He noted that the celebrations also served as a powerful message to adversaries seeking to undermine the connection between the nation and its Prophet.
The procession of lit-up boats, symbolic of Muhammadan love, resonated with pride and unity among Yemenis.
The festivities also included a fireworks display over Hodeida and a light parade of cars through the city streets and the Red Sea coast corniche.
