The Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, requested today, Tuesday, to accelerate the issuance of arrest warrants against Zionist Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, his War Minister Yoav Gallant and Hamas leader Yahya al-Sinwar.
According to the "Russia Today" website, reports indicate that Khan believes that the court is procrastinating in responding to his request, weeks after the end of the submission of legal positions by dozens of countries and concerned parties in the case, and Khan wants to issue the memos before Netanyahu arrives to deliver his speech at the United Nations General Assembly.
The ICC was presented with 64 positions, the majority supporting the prosecutor's position ,26 "pro-Israel and against Khan's request," including those of Germany, Argentina, the Czech Republic, Congo and the United States, although the latter is not a member of the court, Haaretz reported last week.
In an interview with the BBC on Friday, Khan said he was being pressured by state leaders not to issue an arrest warrant for Netanyahu and Gallant. He said he had seen the evidence on which the decision to issue the warrant was based, in response to those who criticized him for his request.
