SANA'A September 07. 2024 (Saba) —Mayor of the Capital Sana'a Dr. Hamoud Obbad on Saturday inaugurated a new solar energy project for Balili water well in al-Wahda district.
The project, funded by the government at a cost of 50 million YER, features a solar energy system designed to enhance water supply efficiency.
The initiative includes a solar energy system capable of generating 166,800 kilowatts and a 160-kilowatt purification unit. Eng. Mohammed Mada'es of the Local Water and Sanitation Corporation explained that the system will support over 25,000 residents by producing 360 cubic meters of water daily.
The project aligns with the Capital Sana'a's efforts to expand water services and incorporate alternative energy solutions, in line with directives from the revolutionary leadership and the Supreme Political Council.
