Sana'a - (Saba):
The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning forecast rainfall of varying intensity across parts of several governorates and strong winds leading to sea turbulence over the next 24 hours.
According to the center's weather bulletin, rainfall of varying intensity, accompanied by thunder and occasional hail, is expected over parts of the governorates of Taiz, Ibb, Dhale'a, Dhamar, Raymah, Mahwit, Hajjah, Sana'a, Amran, Saada, and the highlands of Lahj.
Strong to very strong winds are likely to hit the Socotra Archipelago, the Gulf of Aden, and the southern and eastern coasts, leading to sea turbulence.
The center reported that the amount of rainfall measured at meteorological stations in Ibb over the past 24 hours was 16.7 mm, and in Tur Al Bahah, Lahj: 1 mm.
Scattered rains fell on parts of the governorates of Taiz, Dhamar, Raymah, Hajjah, Mahwit, and Amran, but were outside the stations' range.
The center warned citizens in mountainous areas where rainfall is expected to occur of thunderstorms and of staying in or crossing floodwaters during and after the rainfall.
It also warned motorists against crossing land bridges during floods, and warned beachgoers, fishermen, and ship captains of rough seas and high waves around the Socotra Archipelago, the eastern Gulf of Aden, and the eastern coasts.
