GAZA September 3. 2024 (Saba) - The Zionist newspaper "Haaretz" warned that the insistence of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu to remain in the "Philadelphia axis" and prevent him from reaching a prisoner exchange deal will lead to "paving Philadelphia with the bodies of Zionist prisoners on the way to reoccupy the Strip."
Zvi Barel, a Middle East expert at the newspaper, said Tuesday that Netanyahu and his ministers know that the presence of "the Zionist army in the Philadelphia axis" has not prevented operations in the past, and that "it will not prevent them in the future either."
He added that the aim of the decision to control it is to bring Israel into Gaza forever. "This is no longer just foolishness, it's evil."
He also considered that the majority of "the public in Israel" did not need US President Joe Biden, and his assertion that Netanyahu is not doing "enough to reach an agreement for the exchange of prisoners," as "the truth has been known in Israel" for several months.
The resolution "maliciously" ignores the history of the "Philadelphia axis", because no member of the government remembers that "the Zionist army was already in control of the "Philadelphia axis", and that this control did not help stop the resistance, shooting and arming the Palestinian resistance, nor did it prevent "the launching of Qassam rockets and mortars from the Gaza Strip", despite the full Zionist control of Gaza, from 1967 to 2005, according to Barel.
