The Deputy Prosecutor General of Yazd Province in central Iran announced on Saturday the arrest of a foreign spy working for the Israeli Mossad.
The judicial official stated that the spy had leaked information about sensitive locations outside Yazd Province, including coordinates related to air defense systems at certain sites. These locations were reportedly targeted during recent events, according to Iran's Tasnim News Agency.
He added that, over the past week, judicial authorities have filed 81 legal cases against individuals who spread rumors and false information online amid the current circumstances. Warnings were also issued to 200 people in this regard.
The official confirmed that arrest warrants were issued for eight individuals, seven of whom have been detained so far. The rulings against them will be announced later in accordance with applicable laws.
