GENEVA September 03. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations Special Rapporteur in the Palestinian territories, Francesca Albanese, on Monday warned of the spread of genocidal violence practiced by the Zionist enemy forces against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip to the West Bank.
Israeli apartheid targets Gaza and the West Bank as part of a comprehensive process of liquidation, occupation and expansion, Albanese said in a statement.
"Israel's genocidal violence could extend beyond Gaza and spread throughout the occupied Palestinian territories."
Albanese said the long-standing impunity has allowed Israel to put the Palestinians at the mercy of forces seeking to eliminate them.
The UN rapporteur called on the international community to do everything in its power to put an immediate end to the threat of genocide against the Palestinian people and the settlement of Palestinian territories by Israel.
