WASHINGTON September 03. 2024 (Saba) - At least four people were killed on Monday in shooting incident inside a passenger train in Chicago City, Illinois.
Police responded to an emergency call stating that a shooting had occurred inside a passenger train at Forest Park Train Station, and when a force arrived at the scene they found three dead and wounded who later died in the hospital, AFP quoted Christopher Chen, deputy chief of the local police in Chicago, as saying. The attacker was arrested after he was identified using CCTV footage at the station.
The United States has one of the highest rates of gun deaths compared to other developed countries, due to the uncontrolled proliferation of individual guns in the absence of laws restricting the phenomenon, with one in three adults owning at least one gun.
