NEW YORK August 29. 2024 (Saba) - The United Nations has expressed deep concern over the escalating violence in the West Bank, particularly as the Occupation forces continue their extensive military operations in the northern regions.
This ongoing aggression has led to significant casualties and damage, including the siege of camps and threats to hospitals.
In a statement released, the spokesperson for UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres urged an immediate halt to the Israeli military operations in the northern the West Bank.
Guterres called for measures to protect civilians and for compliance with international humanitarian law, condemning the loss of life resulting from the current aggression.
Since early Wednesday, the Occupation forces have launched a major offensive targeting areas and camps in the northern West Bank, including Jenin, Tulkarm, and Tubas.
The attacks have led to destruction of infrastructure and significant harm to Palestinian communities.
