SANA'A August 29. 2024 (Saba) - Shoub district in the Capital Sana'a has launched its celebrations for the Prophet Muhammad's birthday with a series of cultural events.
The festivities began with a cultural symposium and two evening gatherings.
The first event, held at al-Firdaws Mosque and organized by the Martyr of the Qur'an School, featured Deputy Minister of Interior Major General Abdulmajeed al-Murtada.
Al-Murtada emphasized the transformative impact of the Prophet's message and encouraged attendees to draw inspiration from his teachings.
In the eastern Darbouh neighborhood of al-Jarraf, cultural activist Ibrahim Hamid al-Din highlighted the significance of the Prophet's birthday in reinforcing adherence to his teachings.
He urged community members to actively participate in the celebrations, support charitable causes, and spread joy.
This event featured musical performances and an operetta.
A symposium at the Sunnah Mosque, attended by Abdullah al-Kool and cultural activist Ghaleb Amer, further explored the importance of the occasion.
Amer stressed the emotional and spiritual connections Muslims have with the Prophet's birthday and encouraged using the occasion to follow his example in facing challenges and promoting righteousness.
These events showcase the Yemeni people's deep reverence for the Prophet Muhammad and their commitment to celebrating his legacy.
