OCCUPIED QUDS August 26. 2024 (Saba) - Islamic authorities in Quds on Monday labeled the call issued the Zionist Minister of Security, Itamar Ben Gvir, to build a synagogue inside Al-Aqsa Mosque as unprecedented terrorism.
According to the Palestinian Information Center, a joint statement issued by several Islamic bodies in Quds, including the Council of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs and Holy Places, Dar al-Iftaa, and the Department of the Chief Justice, stated that these statements are "an unacceptable escalation and dangerous incitement" within the plan of an extremist Jewish current aimed at Judaizing Al-Aqsa.
The statement pointed out that this escalation poses a threat to Al-Aqsa, which is one of the holiest places in Islam, and held the international community, especially Islamic countries, responsible for intervening to stop the attacks on Al-Aqsa.
The statement criticized the Zionist enemy government for ignoring the sanctity of Al-Aqsa and for protecting extremists who do not care about the feelings of Muslims.
She stressed that Al-Aqsa will remain "a pure mosque for Muslims, and does not accept division or participation, under the exclusive management of the Al-Quds Al-Sharif Waqf."
