Tehran – Saba:
The Islamic Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) announced on Tuesday that it had launched a new missile strike targeting military and logistical support centers of the Zionist entity in the occupied territories, in the final moments before the ceasefire agreement came into effect.
The IRGC said that this strike, which came as part of the 22nd wave of Operation True Promise 3, consisted of launching 14 missiles that struck targets across the occupied territories, in response to the bloody attack launched by the Zionist army last night, which resulted in the martyrdom of a number of Iranian citizens, according to Tasnim News Agency.
It added: "The people of the armed forces dealt a painful and historic blow to the Zionist enemy, making it clear that the response to crimes will only be in kind and worse. The delusional enemy thought that by resorting to American mediators it could secure a ceasefire, but it was met with a decisive response at the last minute."
The IRGC emphasized that this operation carries a clear message that "Iran has the upper hand on the ground, and that its members in the armed forces continue to closely monitor every move by the enemy."
The IRGC concluded its statement by stressing that what happened merely confirms what was previously announced: that the security of the Iranian people and their red lines will not be subject to compromise, and that any aggression will be responded to in a measured and decisive manner.
